Leave your pocketbook, your billfold, and leave all cash, plastic credit and checkbooks at home. Only take only the cash you expect to spend on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you anticipate to burn and leave the rest behind.

Pessimistic? Not by any means. Realistic more like. You could experience a success following a boozy night out with your acquaintances and be lucky enough to catch a 25 minute roll at a hot craps game. Keep that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continually drink and gamble. The two simply do not go well together.

Leaving your moola back at the hotel might be a tiny bit dramatic, but precautionary actions for dramatic actions is compulsory. If you gamble to win, then don’t drink alcohol and bet.
